SOS Donbass humanitarian convoy

SOS DONBASS is an association under the Law of 1901, created by a group of French activists in support of the people of Donbass living under bombs since 2014

In September 2022, Anna Novikova returned from Donbass with a strong determination: to create a humanitarian association to help residents bombarded by the Ukrainian army with NATO weapons since 2014.

Perfect illustration of the main theme of Vassili Grossman's work. Namely that, when the state of the world may seem hopeless, what remains is the simple goodness of ordinary humans... Simple goodness which makes all the difference... And which sometimes, as is the case here, moves mountains.

After the experience of a first convoy last spring, a challenge met with flying colors by Anna Novikova's team (see videos below), a second convoy left France in Octobre 2023 and after many adventures manage to reach destination... Next convoy is planned for Spring 2024 ...

You have no particular possibility of gathering this kind of material... It is also necessary and important to finance the road, everyone can do it, on the model of "the small streams make the big rivers"...

This operation is particularly close to our hearts for at least two fundamental reasons: first of all, it is, once again, NATO, and therefore our governments (by association, at least) which is sowing war and desolation. It is therefore "the least of things", to the extent that we have no influence on politics, to at least roll up our sleeves to, as much as possible, "repair"... And also, even if materially, this help may seem insignificant compared to the damage caused (and while some might be tempted to consider that it would be more effective to simply send money), traveling in person creates a bridge of humanity of inestimable value!
