One day, an anthropologist suggested a game to the children of an African tribe (the Xhosa). He placed a basket full of fruits near a tree and told them that the first to reach the basket will have won the sweet fruits... The children looked at the anthropologist with a perplexed look, then when he told them to run, they all joined hands and rushed together towards the appetizing basket... And sitting together they feasted on these delicacies... When the anthropologist told them that they had not understood the game... And asked them why they stayed together, when the quickest could have gained all the fruits for himself, they simply replied: "Ubuntu", how can only one of us be happy if all the others are sad?

UBUNTU in Xhosa culture means: "I am because we are".

Remaining faithful to the original spirit, namely that it is a question of combining charitable operation, well-being activity and sporting challenge, and at the same time keen to expand the team by making it accessible to as many people as possible, by challenges of a more "reasonable" size. We invite you to join us, at your choice, on one or other of the meetings of the year (or the 3 of those), or even simply on one or the other of our (training) walks...

50 km walk around Liège linking different sites of the Liège University Hospital and the CHR Citadelle, which will be in its 5th edition this year, to raise funds for the benefit of Médecins du Désert and two partner associations (Solidarité Dogon and La Maison Michotte Institute).

Oxfam Trailwalker 100 (and/or 25)

Traditional walk of 100 km (for teams of 4 persons) in the magnificent setting of the Saint-Hubert forest while raising funds to support community projects of "Oxfam Solidarity" around the world...

If there are volunteers, we can add a team for the Trailwalker 25, same as the original, but over a distance accessible to ordinary mortals, 25 km

Don't tell me neither of them is accessible to you !
And even so, we are counting on you to support us, either by accompanying us during one (or several) of our Sunday walks of training/preparation/maintenance (program currently being developed, to be found here below and in the Almanac at the bottom of the page "Partages & contact(s)"...)
