Thoughts to share...

Peace ! NOW !

We have no illusions about the very hypothetical results of demonstrations, or petitions... 

Experience has amply shown us that unless we are desperately naive, we do not/no longer manifest ourselves, in the 21st century, hoping to be heard by the political sphere...

On the other hand, we believe in humanity (we have merit, some would say, since it is much more difficult than believing in God), in the simple goodness of ordinary human beings, the same goodness that Vassili Grossman famous on the fields of ruins of the Second World War.

And we have no better way to access it than through culture, meeting and sharing. This is why our main action focuses on the need, in the midst of the filthy surge of hateful propaganda, to maintain dialogues, simple exchanges from ordinary person to ordinary person... We must tell them: we are not fools war propaganda! We are neither worse nor better than you, and refuse to give in to inhumanity!

As John Pilger pointed out, propaganda is infinitely more effective in a society that believes itself to be free than in a society that knows itself to be subject to an authoritarian power...

Have we not all, more or less, been raised with the certainty that propaganda was the prerogative of totalitarian regimes? That we were lucky enough to be born "in a democracy", which protects us from this misfortune...

How, then, can we not be surprised by the unanimity with which our political leaders have suddenly, "as one man" (women included) we could say, transformed into warmongers ! And what great deviations they use to to justify the unjustifiable: the death of hundreds of thousands of their fellow human beings, and the destruction of the lives of millions of others...

How did we get here ?
